praying it forward

greetings from the spottswood A.M.E. zion church community outreach ministry

The Praying It Forward Outreach Ministry is born out of Spottswood African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church located in New Britain, CT. The ministry is a vision from all Mighty God given to one of the ministry’s founding members. It is this vision that will sustain us to higher heights. We have an abiding faith in God that He cannot and will not fail. Lord we honor you, we cherish you and we glorify your holy name now and forever. With this in mind the Praying It Forward Outreach Ministry embraces the following scripture to guide our endeavors

Psalm 127: 3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him.

Our mission, focusing on the New Britain area, is to help end the problem of children attending school hungry. By spreading awareness throughout our community, we will begin the process of educating everyone on the depth of this issue. Through our fund-raising efforts and commitment of partnership with other advocacy groups and organizations, we will help children begin their school day focused and ready to learn.

We seek to make a resounding impact in our community. Although this Ministry has been initiated by what we call the powerful 9 plus one (referring to our founding members plus God), we do welcome and need new members dedicated to God and his Word. Our primary mission is to raise awareness to the issue of childhood hunger and to provide resources to help end the problem. We realize that programs already exist, however we acknowledge that much more needs to be done. Therefore, by the grace of God we humbly enter the equation to bring about change.

Giving all praise honor and glory to God!!!
